Hey Dad, I Don’t Like You is a discovery and exploration of my difficult relationship with my father, captured in poetic, illustrated form. The story is inquisitive, investigative, and quietly provocative. This project launches Hearts of Gold Creative, an initiative bringing beauty into the world, creating connection, and raising awareness for mental health.
 
The artwork is by Sophia Wilson, who joined Hearts of Gold Creative as a 14-year-old artist from Carrollton, Texas. A multiple art-competition winner, her work has appeared at the Texas State Fair, the Dallas Museum of Art, and Dallas Love Field Airport. Hey Dad, I Don’t Like You was her first illustration commission.
