Hey Dad, I Don’t Like You is a discovery and exploration of my difficult relationship with my father, expressed through a poetic, illustrated story. The work is inquisitive, investigative, and quietly provocative. It launches Hearts of Gold Creative, an initiative devoted to bringing beauty into the world, creating connection, and raising awareness for mental health.
 
The artwork is by Demi Seva’aetasi, a cartoonist and illustrator based in the Monterey Bay Area of California. Mindfully inclusive of all readers, Demi created a version of the book to represent the soul — simple, abstract, and dreamlike.
